Shemool for development association implemented this activity within the framework of ALFinMotion as part of A Euro-Mediterranean exchange and creativity combining sport, storytelling, and inclusion. The activity brought together our cerebral palsy football team and an Italian host in a creative process that aimed to make the players’ lived experiences more visible through visual storytelling.

The mobility began with planning meetings at our office to discuss the methodology and the most suitable way to connect football with personal storytelling. This was followed by field visits to Al-Ahly club and football matches with the team in Gezira youth center, after which informal icebreaking and dialogue sessions helped to the players’ stories, challenges, hopes, and relationship with football, then translated them into a series of creative sketches.
The final outcome included seven individual visual stories inspired by team members, in addition to one collective sketch (attached above) bringing these journeys together in one shared composition. The activity reflects the wider objective of ALFinMotion for building human connection and intercultural dialogue across the Mediterranean through creative expression, participation, and inclusive practices.
